Egypt: New capital under construction

New buildings are seen at the construction site of the new Egyptian capital, 50km east of Cairo, Egypt, on Oct. 14, 2017. The new Egyptian capital construction, which is estimated to cost 45 billion dollars in general, is a national mega project initiated as a bid to relieve the highly congested Cairo. The construction started in April, 2016 and is designed to gradually expand over an area of 700 square km. (Xinhua/Ahmed Gomaa).
