Daily Trust newspaper is a widely read newspapers in Nigeria which covers breaking updates and news including politics, business, sports, city news, insurance, education, agriculture and lots more. Daily Trust newspaper has won the award for the newspaper of the year. 


The Abuja Newspaper Distributors Association (ANDA) gave Daily Trust the award in Abuja, during its end of the year party yesterday. ANDA president, Comrade John Orogun, said the newspaper was honoured because of its unreserved commitment to improving the lives of his members.


Daily trust is a national newspaper and has a print-run of between 70,000 to 75,000 copies and dominant in 3 three Geo-political zone.It is number one in three geopolitical zones of North-central including Federal Capital City of Abuja, North-west and North-east.


He added that aside selling more than other newspapers, the organisation's management is passionate about the welfare of his members. "They are always there for us; they are not pretenders and they know what they are doing, " he said.


The association secretary, Emmanuel John, also said the newspaper sees the distributors as its responsibility. While receiving the award on behalf of Daily Trust, the company's managing editor, Mr. Theophilus Abah, said the organisation won't rest on its oars in improving it's quality. While commending the group for the award, he said they were deeply valued and appreciated.


"We are grateful and as a newspaper we are involved in continuous innovation," he said. He added that the recognition was in two phases; editorial and marketing and that the award is a testament to the strides made by the organisation.
