Togo is a country in West Africa bordered by Ghana to the west, Benin to the east and Burkina Faso to the north. It extends south to the Gulf of Guinea, where its capital Lomé is located. Togo covers 57,000 square kilometres (22,008 square miles), making it one of the smallest countries in Africa, with a population of approximately 7.5 million.

Togo's top 10 exports accounted for 84.7% of the overall value of its global shipments.
Copper was the fastest-growing among the top 10 export categories, up by 437,075% since 2017.
In second place for improving export sales was mineral fuels including oil via a 2,455% increase, propelled by greater international sales of both refined and crude petroleum oils.
Togo's shipments of oil seeds posted the third-fastest gain in value up by 1,125%.
The leading decliner among the top 10 Togo export categories was cotton which fell -41.3%.
