The Board of Directors of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) approved Samia Terhzaz as Deputy Director General of the Confederation, this Wednesday.
She joined CGEM in June 2020 and held the position of Secretary General.
Jalal Charaf's successor obtained a master's degree in management science and a diploma of higher specialized studies from Paris-Dauphine university. After an initial professional experience in France at Saint-Gobain as a Management Controller, she returned to Morocco to continue her career.
Upon returning to Morocco in 2001, she joined the ONA group, now Al Mada, where she successively held the Holding Management Controller position, Management Control Manager withinCentrale Laitiere, now Danone Morocco, and Project Manager in charge of merger and acquisition operations and group synergies.
In 2008, Terhzaz joined SAHAM Group as a financial and human resources manager.
Samia Terhzaz then joined SAHAM Assurance in 2010, where she was Director of back office functions (human resources, purchasing, logistics and communication).
Her previous positions included the Director of Banking and Insurance, then Deputy General Manager of the Management division and Secretary General at the same company.
Terhzaz has served as President of the Moroccan Club of Long Distance Runners (CMCF), as the newly-elected Samia Terhzaz is an active marathon runner and triathlete who has been very involved in the world of sport and associations.
