Fez - Vivo Energy Morocco and the Foundation for Research, Development, and Innovation in Science and Engineering (FRDISI) are joining forces to support young Moroccan entrepreneurs.
The two parties have agreed to collaborate on the “Entrepreneurship Caravan,” which promotes youth entrepreneurship in an innovative way, in line with Morocco's National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
Vivo Energy Morocco's communication and CSR director Hind Mejjati Alami said that "supporting entrepreneurship is a national priority in the New Development Model."
"Encouraging entrepreneurship is a major lever to grow the economy and create jobs," Alami said of entrepreneurs' role in the Moroccan economy.
She emphasized that the agreement is in keeping with Vivo Energy Morocco's commitment to "completely support the development of our youth."
Meanwhile, FRDISI president delegate Hicham Medromi emphasized that "the entrepreneurial spirit consists of a willingness to act in order to bring about change, novelty, and project realization."
Medromi went on to say that cultivating entrepreneurial attitudes is critical for "allowing young people to have an entrepreneurial mentality throughout their life."
Of the partnership with Vivo Energy Morocco he further noted that "the entrepreneurial caravan will grow in relevance and aims to reach even more youth."
In 2020, the entrepreneurship caravan assisted more than 270 young people in starting their own firms, with 420 businesses launched in 2021.
This year's edition will include young people from 17 provinces and prefectures, including Casablanca, Mohammedia, Sidi Bennour, and other parts of the country.
Vivo Energy Morocco hopes to reach 400 enterprises as a result of this initiative, thereby expanding the country’s entrepreneurial framework.
The caravan will be set up in each district for ten days; 40,000 people are scheduled to attend this year, with a total of 20,000 hours of instruction.
The initiative aims to provide young entrepreneurs with the necessary information on programs and initiatives that will aid in the creation of new businesses.
Vivo Energy Morocco is the firm in charge of marketing and distribution of Shell fuels and lubricants in Morocco, as well as Butagaz liquefied petroleum gas.
