Rwanda Air the leading carrier in east Africa, announced the launch of its inaugural flight between Accra, Ghana and Lagos , Nigeria on the continent. The announcement was made on Wednesday, 5th April at during a meeting attended by guests and the executives of Transport as well as airline and business executives. The the inaugural flight, the first flight departed from the Kotoka International Airport in Accra has already been scheduled.
Adding flights between Accra and Lagos to its route network is a significant achievement for the airline and a bold move which strengthens Rwand Air's position in West Africa. With Accra – Lagos added to its extensive African route network serving more than 15 countries on the continent. Rwand Air now offers customers the option of a second West African country linking air travel to east Africa.
Introducing more travel options on the African continent is a major development and achievement for the airline as part of our Long-Term Turnaround Strategy, which sets growth on the African continent as one of our key objectives. Connectivity from Rwanda to west Africa destinations was also an important consideration.
